The 2015 Australian Cotton Trade Show was held at the Crossing Theatre Grounds, Narrabri on 5-6 August. It was combined with the Cotton Australia AGM, the Cotton Collective Industry Forums, the Cotton Industry Awards and also showcased the Australian Cotton Fibre Expo. The trade show hosted the biggest gathering of growers and suppliers in the cotton industry and featured the leading edge of precision farming and industry innovation.
NAB announced that cotton growers will have the opportunity to cut their energy and operating costs with access to discounted funding for energy efficiency and renewable energy upgrades, thanks to the Clean Energy Finance Corporation (CEFC). NAB has signed a $120 million funding program with the CEFC that will see the bank offer businesses of all sizes discounted equipment finance for assets that cut energy use or generate renewable energy. The agreement will allow NAB to offer a rate 70 basis points below its standard equipment finance rate.
There was a lot of interest around solar pumping, from swimming pools to large scale irrigation. REAQUA was represented by NSW Business Development Manager, Bernard Proberts, and National Major Projects Manager, David Monck, who presented the new PS40k2 range with solar pumping capability up to 40kw in both submersible and surface pumps.
