Technical Bulletin – Jump Settings

August 18, 2015

One of the most common questions we receive from our partners relates to the jump settings in the LORENTZ controller. This technical bulletin covers the basics but please don’t hesitate to call us on 1300-552-040 should you have any questions.

Jumper 1

  • If the POWER IN of the PS controller is connected to a battery system and the PS controller is set to battery mode; “Jumper 1” can be set to raise the cut-off voltage for the Low Voltage Disconnect (LVD) function
  • Normal Mode: Cut-off at 11,0V/Battery, restart at 12,0V/Battery
  • High-Run Mode: Cut-off at 12,3V/Battery, restart at 13,3V/Battery

PS4000: No LVD-Function

Jumper 2

  • Use this jumper to change the setting of the controller between Centrifugal Pump and BOOST Pump
  • Make sure the jumper is set correctly to avoid abnormal operation of the pump system

PS200: No Function

PS600-PS4000: No Function

Jumper 3

  • Use this jumper to set a delay time of 15 minutes for the remote float switch. The delay will start when the switch status has changed back from abnormal to normal. After the delay has lapsed the “TANK FULL” LED will turn off and the system restarts
  • Remove this Jumper for operation with a pressure switch

How to set the jumpers correctly?

  • Make sure that appropriate measures are taken to protect the electronics from Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) before touching them
  • Open the top cover of the PS-Controller by removing the four housing screws
  • When the cover is removed, locate the position of the jumpers by comparing to the picture above (consider your view will be upside-down)
  • Slide the jumper on the pins vertically and check that the jumper is set correctly
  • Close the top cover again
